CROSSFIT FOR HOPE
Hey all, I know that we are currently preparing for the Bring Bowe Home WOD June 30th, so hope you all have registered! Another CrossFit WOD fundraiser that’s coming up in a couple of weeks is CrossFit for Hope. I know this is last minute, as we just found out about it as well. This fundraiser will be held Saturday, June 9th, at affiliates across the country. Proceeds of this fundraiser will be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to combat childhood cancer. The goal is to raise $1.7MM (one day worth of operating costs) with approximately $117,800 currently raised. CrossFit Meridian plans to do the WOD which is similar to Fight Gone Bad with a variation to the workouts. Hope will consist of 3 rounds of: Burpees, 75# Power Snatch, 24” Box Jump, 75# Thrusters, Chest to Bar Pull-Ups. We’re not asking much; just for people to participate in this wonderful cause. If you plan to come to Saturday’s WOD June 9th, just register at http://hope.CrossFit.com/ prior to the workout. Create a user profile or use your Games Open profile to login. Select CrossFit Meridian as an affiliate and how much you plan to fundraise (if you are able to). Even if we can raise just a small amount, it’s a great way to bring CrossFit Meridian’s members together to raise awareness.
