Proof What Hard Work and Determination Can Achieve....Katie's Success Story...

I am 41 years old and work full time with 2 kids. Three years ago, I was obese and sedentary. I felt bad and tired all the time and attributed this to aging. Then I started to change my life. I began with simple changes in nutrition and started a conventional cardio and weight lifting program. I made some progress. I lost about 25 lbs and felt better. However, my progress completely plateaued and my body shape and strength were not changing. About 14 months ago, I started at Crossfit Meridian. I loved it and was quickly hooked by the high intensity, efficient work outs. I was spending less time exercising and seeing more results. The final key to my transformation was taking on and changing my nutrition and eating habits. I followed the instructions of Coach Rick and the pounds started coming off. My body shape changed to that of an athlete. I was shocked as I never thought I could be this fit, strong and athletic looking. I have lost a total of 50 lbs from my highest weight and went from about 36% body fat to about 12% body fat.

Crossfit has greatly affected my outward physical appearance but also changed me internally. I am now a confident, strong, determined woman. I feel anything is possible if I persevere and work hard, I feel the same energy I had in the twenties and feel that we can slow and even reverse aging through Crossfit and clean eating. The coaches at
CFM have helped me each step of the way. They have made certain that I am not injured and yet pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of doing physically.

I am not special. I am like anyone else. Anyone can change themselves if they consistently work hard, eat clean and follow the coaches advice at CFM. Just show up and give maximum effort every day!!
